Germany Petrolhead Tour: The Car Enthusiast's Dream Trip
A tour of the best of the automotive world in Germany. Factories, museums, and the unparalleled experience of driving at the Nürburgring.
The Germany Petrolhead Tour is the ultimate trip for those who want to explore the world of German automobiles in depth. From the history of the most iconic brands, to the most technologically advanced factories, to the chance to put the pedal to the metal in a supercar and race around the legendary Green Hell at the Nürburgring.
This tour is available in two formats: the classic 12-day version or the 6-day “Essential” version. Both are conducted in Spanish or English, combining visits to museums and factories with driving, and all activities are included.
In its 12-day version (3,000 km), the trip begins in Berlin, where participants visit a museum showcasing the finest cars in the German capital, followed by the Nazis’ favorite racetrack: the legendary AVUS. They also delve into Germany’s complex history through guided tours focusing on World War II, Nazism, and the Cold War, including the Berlin Wall.
In the German capital, they will also take part in a go-kart race and will be able to complete six laps of the DTM circuit at the Lausitzring. To do so, they must choose between: the Porsche 911 GT3 (430 hp), the Ferrari 488 GTB (670 hp), the Lamborghini Huracán (610 hp), the Mercedes-AMG GT S (510 hp), or the Audi R8 V10 (600 hp).
The tour continues with a detailed look at the museums of Germany’s five automotive giants: Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and Volkswagen’s impressive “City of Cars.” You’ll also get an exclusive look at a facility closed to the general public: the laboratories where Latin and Euro NCAP conduct crash tests on models sold in Latin America and Europe. A truly remarkable experience.
The Nürburgring, undoubtedly one of the most legendary circuits in the history of motorsports, will be the grand finale of a dream trip. There, you’ll not only get to experience the Green Hell where Juan Manuel Fangio was crowned a five-time F1 world champion, but you’ll also get to drive a 240-horsepower Volkswagen Golf GTI on the fearsome Nürburgring Nordschleife and its legendary 21 kilometers of curves and elevation changes—an experience of a lifetime!
In addition, the tour includes visits to iconic cities such as Ingolstadt, Munich, and Stuttgart, offering participants the chance to gain insight into life in Germany through their hosts (both of whom are permanent residents), delve into the local culture, sample traditional regional cuisine, and—once the cars are parked—of course, enjoy some exquisite regional beers.
“We want everyone to enjoy it to the fullest, which is why we’re very flexible. We’ve put together an all-inclusive trip, but if participants prefer, they can customize it—for example, by upgrading their cars on the circuits. We do everything in our power to make this the trip of a lifetime,” explained Maximiliano Pallocchini, one of the organizers.
“After visiting these places so many times, we decided we wanted to share them with others who share our passion. That’s the spirit of the Alemania Petrolhead Tour. We’re very happy and grateful to everyone who trusts us to make their dream come true,” said Martín Sacán.
Groups consist of 7 to 32 participants, and local transportation is provided in Mercedes-Benz V-Class vans. Due to weather conditions, tours are held between April and October each year.
The package includes all accommodations with breakfast, all admission fees to museums and factories, and on-site activities.
The Germany Petrolhead Tour is currently the only tour in Spanish (with English as an option) that covers so many kilometers, museums, factories, and racetracks in Germany. Led by experts based in Berlin who are well-versed in local culture, the tour seamlessly combines the worlds of automobiles and tourism.
